March 29 City Hall Construction Update

The city of New Hope is now less than 100 days from moving in to the new city hall/police station.

Take a look at the most recent construction updates:

On the city hall side, floor tile is being installed this week and other floor coverings are scheduled the second week of April. Case work, doors and hardware, and solid surfaces are also being set over the next two weeks, and film on internal office glass is scheduled for installation the second week of April.

On the police station side, painting continued this week, along with the installation of low voltage fire and security. Ceiling grid installation is planned to start April 1.

In the upper access spaces, mud/tape/sanding is taking place along with drywall and painting. HVAC work is also being completed and doors and louvers are scheduled to be set the second week of April.

In the parking garage, the concrete floor pour was in process this week. Next week, rough-in for plumbing, electrical, and HVAC is scheduled, along with drywall and stair installation. The elevator install is scheduled for the second week of April.

On the exterior, over the next three weeks the garage doors are scheduled to be installed and work will continue on the metal coping and soffits. The generator will be set the first part of April after the ground dries out.

At the March 25 City Council meeting Wold Architects presented a change order of 17 construction elements to New Hope City Council. A summary of the change order can be viewed here.
