CEEThe Center for Energy and Environment (CEE) offers a convenient one-stop service that provides residential, commercial/non-profit and rental property owners in New Hope access to a comprehensive array of financing and rehabilitation services.​

  • Energy Savings Fund for Non-Profits
    Offers zero‐interest financing for cost‐effective energy‐efficiency retrofits in non‐residential buildings owned or occupied by nonprofit organizations.
  • CEE Commercial Energy Efficiency Loan Program
    Financing for businesses making cost effective energy efficiency improvements.
  • Energy Intelligence for Industry
    Energy Intelligence for Industry provides small to medium-sized industrial customers with real-time energy feedback and alerts to help manage energy use while product is being made. Expert analysis and recommendations are provided on immediate ways to eliminate energy waste and save energy.
  • One-Step Efficiency Shop Lighting Retrofits
    Specifically designed to address the concerns small business owners face when choosing more efficient lighting, including limited financial resources and time, limited knowledge of lighting products and access to quality contractors.
  • Building Commissioning
    Make the most of existing equipment and reduce maintenance costs and equipment failures.

Open To Business Consulting Services

Open to businessOpen To Business is a partnership between Golden Valley, New Hope, and the Metropolitan Consortium of Community Developers (MCCD), an association of nonprofit community development organizations serving the Twin Cities. With the help of a matching grant from Hennepin County, the two cities work with MCCD to provide business consultation services and financial advice to small local business owners and aspiring business owners. The program offers help in several areas, including:

  • Financial management
  • Bookkeeping set‐up and training
  • Loan packaging
  • Real estate analysis
  • Marketing assistance
  • Strategic planning
  • Professional referrals

MCCD holds open office hours each month at either the New Hope or Golden Valley city halls to meet with participants one‐on‐one. Arrangements can also be made to meet at the MCCD offices in Minneapolis.
