The results are in. New Hope received 499 responses to the 2024 City Services Survey which was open from July 1 through Oct. 1.
The survey is conducted annually as part of New Hope’s participation in the State of Minnesota’s Performance Measurement Program. Since 2011, New Hope has asked its residents to complete this short survey to help gauge areas where the city meets or surpasses expectations and where residents see room for improvement.
The 2024 survey featured 19 questions on core city services, including public safety, infrastructure, parks and recreation and more. The survey was mailed to residents with their July utility bills and was available online.
Here are the City’s key takeaways from this year’s survey:
- 84% rated the overall quality of city services as “excellent” or “good”
- 81% rated the overall appearance of the city as “excellent” or “good”
- 91% responded that they feel “very safe” or “somewhat safe” living in the city
- 88% rated the city’s water supply as “excellent” or “good”
- 87% rated sanitary sewer services as “excellent” or “good”
- 83% rated snowplowing as “excellent” or “good”
Residents were invited to provide additional open-ended feedback, questions, or concerns and could also request a call from city staff related to their submission.
