New Hope City Code Online

The complete New Hope City Code is accessible online. This Code is comprised of all the local laws and regulations, known as ordinances, that define how things work in New Hope. The City Code contains everything from information on ordinances related to pets, waste enclosure requirements, setback specifications for building expansion and much more. 

The online City Code is entirely searchable, and a table of contents assists in quickly and easily finding information.

If you are unable to find what you're looking for in the table of contents or through a keyword search, you can refine your search results by clicking on the 'advanced search' option. 

Proposed Ordinances

As per Minnesota Statute 415.19, the City of New Hope is committed to maintaining transparency with the public. Proposed ordinances are posted on this page at least ten days before the city council meeting where they are scheduled to be voted upon. After the meeting, proposed ordinances are removed from this listing.

New Ordinances

There is usually a delay of several weeks between the adoption of a new ordinance and its appearance in the city code online. Newly passed ordinances will be available here for at least 90 days after they become effective.

23-09 Dec. 11, 2023 An interim ordinance temporarily  prohibiting trade schools as a permitted use in the I, Industrial District in the New Hope City Code. 
 24-01  March 11, 2024   An ordinance amending Section 2-62 Watershed Management Tax District in the New Hope City Code.
