Mayor John Elder (2025-2028)
Mayor Elder was elected mayor in 2024 after serving several terms on the City Council. He was initially appointed to the Council in May 2008 to fill a vacant seat. Later that year, in November, he was elected to complete the final two years of that unexpired term in a special election. He was subsequently reelected for four-year terms in 2010, 2014, 2018 and 2022. Elder has been a resident of New Hope for over 25 years.
His community involvement includes working with the Police Explorers program, Wings Soccer Club and Minnesota Thunder West Academy and serving as a commissioner for the Bassett Creek Watershed Management Commission. He also served as a board member for the New Hope Community Farmer's Market.
Elder has 30 years of experience in law enforcement, having worked with the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, Lakeville Police Department, New Hope Police Department, Minneapolis Police Department and Isanti County Sheriff's Office. He currently serves as a captain for the Robbinsdale Police Department. He holds an A.A. degree in criminology from North Hennepin Community College, a B.S. in police science from St. Mary's University in Minnesota, and an M.A. in public safety administration from St. Mary's University.

Council Member Andy Hoffe (2005-2028)
Council member Hoffe was first elected to the City Council in 2004 and has been reelected in 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020 and 2024. He has lived in New Hope for over 40 years.
Hoffe currently serves as a commissioner on the Northwest Community Cable Commission.
He is a retired government and economics teacher from District 281. After retiring, he spent many years working as a substitute teacher for the district. Hoffe holds a B.A. degree in social studies and business education.

Council Member Michael Isenberg (2020-2028)
Council member Isenberg was elected to the City Council in 2020 and reelected in 2024. He has lived in New Hope since 2005.
Isenberg's community involvement includes serving on the New Hope Citizen Advisory Commission and West Metro Fire-Rescue District Community Emergency Response Team. Isenberg was a Space Needs Task Force member for the new city hall and police department facility and committees for the new Civic Center Park and New Hope Aquatic Park.
Isenberg is a senior business analyst for Insight and has a bachelor's degree from Minnesota State University Mankato.

Council Member Jonathan London (2015-2026)
Council member London was elected to his first term in 2014 and reelected to another four-year term in 2018 and 2022. He has lived in New Hope since 1976.
London’s community involvement includes serving on the New Hope
Citizen Advisory Commission, and Robbinsdale Spanish Immersion School.
London is an investment advisor for Oakwood Capital, Inc.
He has a BBA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in
accounting, economics and finance and an International Business
Certificate.
