Primary Election Day is Tuesday, Aug. 13
Don’t forget, tomorrow is Primary Election Day in Minnesota. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Here are a few to-dos and things to keep in mind to make sure you’re prepared to vote.
Early/Absentee Voting
- Early voting ends today, Monday Aug. 12, at 5 p.m.
- If you received an absentee ballot by mail and have not yet returned it, drop off your absentee ballot by 8 p.m. on Election Day to New Hope City Hall (New Hope residents, only) or the Hennepin County government Center, 300-6th Street South (Hennepin County residents).
- Absentee ballots can NOT be returned to polling locations on Election Day.

If you're not registered, don't worry – in Minnesota, you can register at your polling place. Make sure to bring acceptable proof of residence. Find a full list of acceptable proof of residence options at mnvotes.gov.
