Spring and Summer Jobs (2022)

Playground Leaders (June-July)

Applicants over age 18 preferred. Supervise and monitor organized activities at neighborhood parks. Activities will include games, sports, dramatics, music, nature and crafts.

Pool (May/June-August)

  • Assistant Manager: Provide assistance to the Pool Manager in coordinating and overseeing operations at the outdoor pool. Directs the work of seasonal staff.  
  • Head Lifeguard: Provide assistance to the Pool Manager in coordinating and overseeing pool operations in relation to Lifeguard staff. Current certification required.   
  • Head Water Safety Instructor: Provide assistance to the Pool Manager in coordinating and overseeing pool operations in relation to the swim lesson program. Current certification required.   
  • Guest Services: Provide customer service at front entrance.  
  • Concessions: Provide customer service at concessions counter.   
  • Lifeguard: Ensure a safe pool environment by enforcing rules, operating pool safety equipment, and administering first aid when needed. Must be age 15 or older. Current certification required. 
  • Water Safety Instructor: Provide swimming instruction in a safe, positive environment. Current certifications required.
  • Water Safety Assistant: Provide assistance during swim lesson programs.
  • Maintenance: Responsible for the cleanliness and care of the pool facility under the direction of the Pool Manager.  

Fall and Winter Jobs

Basketball Official (November-March)

College age preferred with basketball experience. Officiate youth or adult basketball games evenings and weekends. Officiating experience and/or certification preferred.  

Gym Attendant (Year Round)

Must be 16 or older. Provide supervision and security of New Hope Community Gyms. Includes set-up and take-down of equipment for activities, community relations and light maintenance.

Warming House Attendant (December-February)

High School age or older to  work in warming house facilities in city parks. Includes supervision of building and outdoor skating rinks with light maintenance. Evening and weekend shifts available.

Zamboni Driver/Rink Attendant (September-March)

Must be 18 or older with valid driver's license. Training provided. Also responsible for maintenance duties as assigned. Evening and Weekend shifts available at New Hope Ice Arena. Salary:
